Today's Bible Verse
"Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends' (John 15:12,13)
We are to love each other as Jesus loved us, and he loved us enough to give his life for us. We may not have to die for someone, but there are other ways to practice sacrificial love; listening, helping encouraging, giving. Think of someone in particular who needs this kind of love today. Give all the love you can, then try to give a little more.
Jose - a mentally challenged 40 plus years old man. He was despised and discarded by his siblings after the death of his parents. He is an angel in the home for the poor of 50 plus residents. Anybody is sick or dying he is the caregiver and the best companion. If anybody dies, he will not sleep, eat or take bath or move from the body till the burial. He vigils when others sleep. What a solace that dies to know somebody to care and love in their last breathe.
Jose got a heart (He+art) of love not a Head (He+ad) of advertisement. God is love in backward and forward. God is love and love is God.
Lord, we are in need of love. Let us experience your love. Give us a heart of love to love others. All we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
