"See that you don’t despise one of these little ones." (Mathew 18:10)
A case for children.
Children are the gift and heritage of God given to human beings. The most
important responsibility of parents, the church, society and a nation is to
protect, and make them into a healthy, educated, vibrant, free men and women for
God to sustain and continue the humanity till the world exists. We have no right
to snuff the life of a child even in the womb. "At the sound of Mary’s
greetings, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her" (Luke 1:41). Children are for
God to praise him as the angels. "Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouth of
infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise" (Mathew 21:16). They are
the joy in a family. "He gives the barren woman a house, making her the joyous
mother of children" (Psalm 113:9).
A real mother never abandons her child in any situation. The sickness and death
of a child is the most heartbreaking, excruciating pain and sorrow of a mother.
For a woman, her child is the child of gold. But now for the sake of false joy
of individualism and freedom created by half baked science and technology,
genetic and computer engineering, reel and ads, fashion and choice, feelings and
emotions, sports and games, power and wealth, the children are in death
chambers, just like a moth in the fire. This is the most dangerous game we play
with life. We need to stop this utter inhuman homicide.
Due to a family discord, Lashonda Armstrong 25, the mother had driven her car
with four children aged 11 months, 2, 5 and 10 into the Hudson River in New York
and ended the life of all, but for 10 year old Lashaun. According to the boy,
who had escaped, when the car was moving, his mother went into the back seat and
"had all her children cradled in her arms." "If I’m going to die, you’re all
going to die with me." The boy resisted and broke free, yelling out the window
for help. As he was trying to escape, his mother had a break of reality, then
she cried out, "Oh my God, I made a mistake". She climbed back into the front
seat and tried to put the car in reverse to pull it out of the water. But it was
too late.
All my mothers and sisters...if you don't want to live, go to hell, but don't
take your children, give them to me.
"With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It
makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless"
(Psalms 8:2). Each church and house should be a sanctuary for unloved and
unwanted children, and the expecting mothers to sustain precious lives.
Jesus, we pray for all the budding children who are in the dangerous zone of death in houses, schools, sports and games, war zones and religious bigots. We pray for the souls of the children in the Hudson river massacre. Let all mothers have the inner revelation of the sanctity of new life at their hands entrusted by the creator to foster but not to destroy. Let our children be safe in all their walks of life. May the predators be caught. With tears, all we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
