Endure your trials as the disciples of God, who deals
with you as sons.
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall
continually be in my mouth.
Righteous are You, O Lord and upright are Your judgements.
Your testimonies, which you have commanded, are
righteous and very faithful.
In order to defeat the sin of pride, God Himself became
modest and took the nature of a slave, bearing insults
and was crucified. So, shouldn't we be ashamed of pride?
God be merciful upon us, and bless us, and cause his face
to shine upon us.
Prayer is the expression of a longing to speak to God,
concealed in the depths of the soul.

Repentance is the door of mercy, opened to those who
seek it. By way of this door we enter into the mercy of God.

Suffering is like a kiss that Jesus hanging from the Cross
bestows on persons whom He loves in a special way.
Because of this love He wants to associate them in the
work of Redemption.
Loving Lord, help us to look upon suffering as a sign of
Your special love for us. Let us accept it and suffer in
union with You for our salvation and that of the whole
To hallow the name of the Lord requires that the words in which we speak of the Supreme Being be uttered with reverence. See Psalm 111:9. We should never treat lightly the titles or appellations of the Deity. This name is hallowed by the angels of heaven, and by the inhabitants of unfallen worlds, When you pray, 'Hallowed be Thy name', you ask that it may be hallowed in this world, hallowed in you.
If you cannot hallow His name, you cannot represent Him to the world, unless in life and character, you represent the Character of God.
The disciples of Christ were looking for the immediate coming of the Kingdom of His glory, but in giving them this prayer, Jesus showed them that the Kingdom was not then to be established. It was eschatological. They were to pray for it as a future event. but it was an assurance for them.
The Kingdom of God is now being established, as day by day hearts that had been full of sin and rebellion yield to the sovereignty of His love. The full establishment of the Kingdom will not take place until the Second Advent of Christ to this world.
The kingdom shall be given to ' the people of the saints of the Most High. See Daniel 7:27, Our Lord Himself said that I go and prepare a place for you and that where I am you shall be also. In Zechariah we are told that the 'Tabernacle of God' shall be with men and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and He shall be their God. But before this, Jesus said, 'The Gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in all the world, for a witness to the nations. We must carry out the Third Angels Message and proclaim the Good News to the ends of the earth. And then and only then can we say: 'Even so Lord Jesus Come.'
