Question 32. Is it theologically correct to consider the writings of Holy Fathers authoritative?

Yes,

1) Because they wrote with the help of the Holy Spirit.
2) Their writings are based on the Holy Scripture.
3) Early church fathers learned from people that had directly learned from Christ, or from his disciples, either through the word of mouth or from their books .
4) And most importantly, they taught us that Jesus was the Son of God.
